I want to share my personal story using a translator and say a huge thank you to the Elseve brand. I have been living with HIV since childhood, and, as many know, this requires constant antiretroviral therapy.

My shelves were literally once piled high with medications. The body is weakened, the skin and hair often suffer from side effects.

One of these problems was constant dandruff. I struggled with it for many years: I tried pharmacies, natural oils, even expensive medicated shampoos - but the result was only temporary. It was a real psychological and physical strain.

I bought platinum hair dye and my hair turned out brown dark brown because I guess the wrong color was in the box and it was some kind of toner. I was devastated my hair is everything to me I didn't want to go anywhere but I still had to continue on with work I went to my friend who helped correct it she was in cosmetology school and she made it a million times better anyways long story short basically I called and talked to L'Oreal and they accepted responsibility even though it really wasn't them it was the stores responsibility but because it was a product they still made it better they're amazing it just goes to show how awesome they really are but it makes Safeway look like crap because they want to disregard any responsibility for something that might have been their wrongdoing in the beginning. By L'Oreal doing that though it made them look that much better I give him a lot of credit thanks loreal

Hello.

I've been doing my own hair coloring for years, and have always used the Preference brand of L'oreal. As I got older, I would switch to a lighter shade, and now for the past year I've been using the new "Soft Silver Blonde 8S" product and happy with the result.

However tonight, of all days before a big event the following day, I noticed right from the start, that the color gel was a much darker color than usual when I poured it into the color optimizing cream.

Since I had just purchased two boxes, I went ahead and checked the color of the other box and found that it was the same dark color right from the start. Thinking that it might be because of a change in your formula, I went ahead and went through my coloring process as I've done hundreds of time, only to find out that it did nothing at all to cover my gray hair which it usually does... and I followed the direction and the process that I always done in the past. I believe these two latest boxes that I purchased were defective or very old on the shelf, even though I had just recently purchased them from my local drug store.

I did take some pictures of the product before application, and kept the box and bottles if you needed more proof, and can provide them to you.

Needless to say, I am very disappointed and although it's too late to go out and purchase another box and go through the process again, I would expect to at least get a compensation towards buying some replacement hair coloring. I'm willing to try the same product again, because I never had this problem before tonight.

I am a 69 year old retired Registered Nurse, during my career I colored my hair, kept it short and washed it daily due to always being in a germ filled environment.
